In total, Lebenshilfe operates three inclusive daycare centers and one special education facility. At these four locations (Brühl, Hürth, Erftstadt, and Frechen), approximately 200 children ranging in age from one year old to school age are cared for, including children with and without special needs, disabilities, or chronic illnesses.
The residential facility in Elsdorf provides a personalized and safe home for twenty people with cognitive and/or multiple disabilities. Divided into two living groups, each resident has their own room. Here, residents live independently and on their own terms.
Individual assistance, guidance, care, and support are provided around the clock.
Assisted living programs support people with cognitive impairments in leading lives that are as independent, self-determined, and self-directed as possible in their own homes.
The counseling centers assist clients with applying for benefits and work with them to develop solutions. Our counseling services cover all areas of integration assistance as well as other social, medical, and administrative matters.
In addition, we run Club '80 – Active Leisure, which is based on volunteer work. Here, we offer and organize a wide range of recreational activities for people with cognitive impairments, ranging in age from 16 and up to the elderly.
As can be seen from the financial statement provided, only 3.8% of expenditures are allocated to general administrative tasks; the majority of expenditures are used directly for project-related purposes. In addition, the association’s board of directors serves on a volunteer basis, and there is no budget for public relations and marketing.
