SAUREN is a pioneer among fund of funds managers in Germany. On 1 March 1999, the SAUREN Group launched the Sauren Global Growth, one of the first funds of funds approved for public sale on the German market. Since then the SAUREN fund of funds range has been successfully managed, implementing the years of expertise acquired in fund (manager) analysis. SAUREN has frequently been at the forefront of new developments within the investment industry. For example, it launched the first fund of hedge funds approved for public sale in Germany. At the end of 2009, it also established an innovative absolute return fund of funds that invests in the new generation of absolute return funds under UCITS III. Since 2002, SAUREN has published the qualitative SAUREN fund manager rating in which each manager's own capabilities are assessed and awarded with one, two or three gold medals.
